Lightroom Beyond the Basics - Feb. 2, 1:00 PM
By default, Adobe Lightroom is set to work for most photographers' needs. In this class we will change some of the default settings to get Lightroom to work better for you. We will also look at some of the new features being added in the Lightroom 4 Beta. This is also a great opportunity to ask questions and learn from other photographers' questions. Feel free to bring your laptop and work along with Eugene.

Darkroom 9.1, Is it time to upgrade? - Feb. 16, 1:00 PM
I get asked this question all the time: "Should I upgrade Darkroom?" Well, it depends on what version you are using, how you are using Darkroom, what it has that you like, and what it is you would like. In this class we will look primarily at Darkroom Core 9.1, discuss the added features and different upgrade options from Web Edition, Lab Edition, and older versions of Core and Pro. Hopefully I can help you can make a more informed decision on the best course of action. If you have questions about other versions of Darkroom, bring those with you along with your laptop.
Color Management 101 - Feb. 23, 1:00 PM
In this class we will discuss how to work within a color managed workflow from capture to editing to print. This will be a basic overview of using the Colorchecker Passport to create camera profiles and use them in Lightroom. Second, we will discuss different Monitor and Calibration options to ensure your monitor is displaying your images as accurately as possible. Finally, we will talk about printer profiles and using them for soft proofing.

This week we will be welcoming back our good friend, Gabriel Gonzalez, from The Camera Exchange. He will be bringing along a handful of lenses and will explain some of the differences between them such as focal lengths, aperture values, glass quality, and prices. This will be a hands-on demo, so bring your camera! This demo may help you find the next gift you buy for yourself. FYI: we will specifically be working with Canon and Nikon lenses.
